She, who is adorned with red vermillion (Kumkum) as a mark of victory over every thing physical and metaphysical.
Victory over Evil.
Victory over False ego.
Victory over Kaal.
Victory over all the Gunas.
Red vermillion is associated with auspiciousness, fertility, stimulation of the Agnya chakra when applied to the forehead, and the invoking of pranic energies.
When surrendered to Her completely, She becomes the Kumkum which when applied to the forehead, will bring the light of wisdom to a Sadhaka.
Hence the name Sindurarunamastaka/Sindur aruna mastaka.
