Nitya Sadhana Guide

A simple guide to nitya sadhana to connect with the divine.

Important: Any specific instructions (vithi) provided by Guruji Shri Praveen Radhakrishnan take precedence and must be followed diligently. If no specific instructions are given, follow the steps outlined below.

Nitya Sadhana Guide

  1. Pooja Mandir and Asan
    Place a photo of Maa Adya Mahakali and/or Bhairava. Choose one shared by Guruji. Maa's photo should be the largest. Ensure a clean sacred space.
  2. Achamana – Internal Purification
    - Take clean water in a small tumbler (or panchapatra).
    - Sip water 3 times with "go-karna mudra", chanting:
    Om Keshavaaya Swaha, Om Narayanaya Swaha, Om Madhavaya Swaha
    - Rinse again with Om Govindaya Namah
    - Optional Sloka:
    Om Apavitrah Pavitro Vaa Sarva-Avasthaam GatoopiVaa |
    Yah Smaret-Punnddariikaaksham Sa Baahya-Abhyantarah Shucih
    Om Shri Pundareekaakshaaya Namaha (3x)
  3. Invocation of Maha Ganapathy
    Chant Om Maha Ganapataye Namah once or thrice.
  4. Invocation of Manasik Guru
    Chant Om Shree Gurubhyo Namaha and visualize your Guru.
  5. Lighting of Diya and Agarbathi
    Light diya and incense. Offer to the deity.
  6. Sankalpa (Intention)
    Make your sankalpa in Sanskrit or your own language with pure intent.
  7. Naivedyam / Bhog (Offering)
    Offer any simple food item to the deity with devotion.
  8. Karpoora Harathi (Optional)
    Perform camphor aarti using any simple procedure or video reference.
  9. Japa
    Perform stotra japa, naam japa, or any personal mantra if given. Refer Guruji’s YouTube for guidance.
  10. Samarpana
    Mentally offer the results of the japa back to the deity.
  11. Kavacham
    Recite any protective kavacham regularly. Repetition builds strength.
