Devi Kaalika is the Shakti who empowers all Naivedhyam and offerings made to the Deities, in all paths and to all forms, just like all the Mahavidya are projections of DeviKaalika, which will ultimately merge back into Her.
Similarly, every offering be it from a simple banana, to the most exceptionally prepared offerings of the greatest Kshetra is all empowered by her.
She allows the concentration of the prana of the specific devotees, with his into the Neivedhyam, and then allows it to be consumed by the devotees as Prasadam.
