Kaalika as a diety is someone who expects the Bhakta to explore and go deeper within themselves, she forces the Bhakta to realise that every inch within him, his body as well as mind is auspicious and is not to be treated as alien to himself or not to be considered as in auspicious or unworthy she forces the Deivas to look at the Asuras and the Asuras to look at the Devas.  Ultimately giving the message that you need to own, both the sides to truly yourself.
