The One who is as towering and manifests the energy of the towering Himalayas.
Himalayas is the manifestation of Shiv.
The tall, standing, still, mountain ranges, where for thousands of years, sages have made it their abode to perform penance and sadhana for attaining to Shiv.
Shiv is the unmoving, unchanging, silent, potent cosmic force. Himalayas are the representative of this force.
Maa is that cosmic force, who is born and yet compliments the stillness.
She is the shakti that moves life towards enlightenment.
She is the shakti that will manifest from the inner realms of stillness.
She is the shakti that will be evoked by the sages from the stillness of their sadhana and penance in the Himalayas.
The Himalayas represent Her nature in a way – fierce yet compassionate, destructive yet life-giving.
Like Maa, Himalayas represent Kaal (time), timeless and eternal nature of existence.
Hence the name Haimavati.
