Adya MahaKali

CHATURBHUJA

The One with Four hands.
She whose appearance symbolises different aspects of power and divine energy.
She who has four arms.
The severed head in Maa Kali’s upper left hand represents the holding of all Asuric tendencies and focusing the Prana (blood) into the Khapar. By severing the Uncontrolled asuric tendencies of the Sadhaka, She brings liberation.
The Khapar is again left in her lower left hand, symbolising that all the Prana will go into her only. Meaning once the asuric tendencies drop, the Sadhaka goes fully into her devotion.
The Right Upper hand, holds the ever powerful Khadag, that has the Sakthi of ALL DIVINE WEAPONS ON DEVA LOKA.
The Right lower hand, holds the THRISULA, of Mahadeva again meaning she has now taken over his entire Sakthi, and is now in the complete form of the Adi Sakthi.
Hence the name, Chaturbhuja.
